The 2027 Cadillac Escalade IQ gets three practical changes and one very expensive option. Every trim now has a native NACS charging port and a 19.2-kW onboard charger, plus a dual-level charge cord. The new Curated by Cadillac program lets buyers spec a hand-built Escalade IQ for a $54,995 package fee on top of the vehicle price. Cadillac hasn’t posted 2027 pricing on its site yet, and the 2026 Escalade IQ starts at $127,405. Here’s what changes, what it costs and whether to wait.

We reviewed the current truck in our 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ review. This article covers only what’s different for 2027 and how that affects your decision.

What’s confirmed

  • Curated by Cadillac: Cadillac’s newsroom says the package costs $54,995 and that this “does not include the vehicle MSRP, tax, title, license and dealer fees.” Buyers work with a design concierge and can choose from more than 160 exterior colors and finishes and up to 44 interior colors. Each vehicle is hand-painted and hand-built at GM’s Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan, with a unique VIN and a serialized builder’s badge. It’s sold in the US and Canada, deliveries are expected to start in the second half of 2027, and availability is “extremely limited.”
  • Performance and range: Cadillac quotes an estimated 465 miles of range, up to 750 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque in Velocity Max mode, and a 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds.
  • Current US prices: Cadillac’s Escalade IQ page lists the 2026 model at $127,405 (Luxury), $127,905 (Sport), $147,705 (Premium Luxury) and $148,205 (Premium Sport). The long-wheelbase IQL starts at $130,405. These are the prices shown when we checked on October 22, 2026.

What’s rumored or reported

  • NACS and charger upgrade: InsideEVs reported the native NACS port, the standard 19.2-kW onboard charger and the Dual Level Charge Cord, crediting GM Authority. InsideEVs also says all 2027 GM EVs switch to NACS. Cadillac’s own 2027 spec sheet wasn’t on its consumer site when we checked.
  • 2027 pricing: Car and Driver’s model page lists the 2027 Escalade IQ/IQL at $207,190 to $210,190. That’s about $80,000 above Cadillac’s current 2026 base price. C/D doesn’t explain the figure, and it doesn’t match any Cadillac announcement we could find. It may include the Curated package or be a placeholder. We wouldn’t treat it as the 2027 base price until Cadillac publishes one.

Escalade IQ price: making sense of the numbers

There are two different price questions, and they’re easy to mix up.

What a regular Escalade IQ costs. Right now, Cadillac.com shows 2026 pricing from $127,405. When Cadillac publishes 2027 prices, expect them to reflect the upgraded charger on the base trims. We have no source for how much, if anything, prices will rise, so we won’t guess.

What a Curated Escalade IQ costs. Take the price of the Escalade IQ you’d normally order, add $54,995, then add tax and fees. A Curated build on today’s $127,405 Luxury price would start around $182,400 before tax and fees. That’s our calculation from Cadillac’s numbers. 2027 vehicle prices may differ.

What the 19.2-kW charger means at home

This is the practical upgrade for most owners. The 19.2-kW onboard charger needs a 240-volt, 80-amp connection to reach full speed, InsideEVs explains. At that rate, Car and Driver estimates about 36.5 miles of range added per hour of Level 2 charging. The standard Dual Level Charge Cord also plugs into a regular 120-volt outlet, but there it supplies only 1.4 kW. InsideEVs says a full charge of the 205-kWh pack would take almost a week that way, so treat it as an emergency option.

A few things to check before you buy. Make sure your panel can support an 80-amp circuit, which many homes can’t without an upgrade. Ask your electrician for a quote before you budget for the 2027 model’s faster charging. If you already have a J1772 charger, you’ll need an adapter to use it with the NACS port, InsideEVs notes. A NACS wall charger plugs in directly.

Key specs

  • Battery: 205 kWh (Car and Driver, InsideEVs)
  • Power: up to 750 hp and 785 lb-ft in Velocity Max mode, 680 hp otherwise (Car and Driver)
  • 0-60 mph: 4.7 seconds (Cadillac claim). Car and Driver measured 4.5 seconds for the IQ and 4.7 for the IQL.
  • Range: 465 miles (IQ) and 460 miles (IQL), Cadillac estimates. Car and Driver’s 75-mph highway test got 380 miles. The EPA doesn’t rate it because the vehicle is too heavy.
  • Towing: 8,000 pounds (IQ), 7,500 pounds (IQL)
  • Curb weight: 9,120 pounds, per Car and Driver

Should you buy a 2026 or wait for the 2027?

Buy a 2026 if you can get a Premium Luxury or Premium Sport, which already have the 19.2-kW charger, and a dealer is discounting to clear stock. A CCS-to-NACS adapter covers Supercharger access. You’d be missing very little.

Wait for 2027 if you’d be buying a base Luxury or Sport and charging at home on an 80-amp circuit. Moving from 11.5 kW to 19.2 kW makes a real difference on a 205-kWh battery. C/D says the 19.2-kW charger adds roughly 36.5 miles of range per hour on Level 2. The 2027 also suits you if you’d rather not carry an adapter.

Go Curated if you want a one-off color or interior and don’t mind waiting until at least the second half of 2027. Cadillac says availability is extremely limited.
