For US buyers, the Rivian R2 is the big story right now. The R2 Performance with the Launch Package is the only R2 you can order today, at $57,990, and owners say delayed Forest Green orders started getting VINs on Oct. 22 (Forest Green report). Rivian still calls the Launch Package a limited-time offer but hasn’t given an end date (Launch Package report). Cheaper trims follow: the R2 Premium from $53,990 in late 2026 and the R2 Standard from $44,990 as a 2027 model, per Rivian’s R2 page. The R1T and R1S start at $79,990 and $83,990 on rivian.com. Rivian also refiled for the R2T name on Oct. 7, though it hasn’t announced a smaller pickup (R2T trademark). The R3 still has no US price.

How much does the Rivian R2 cost?
Rivian lists the R2 Standard from $44,990 (2027), the R2 Premium from $53,990 (late 2026) and the R2 Performance with the Launch Package from $57,990, which is the only version you can order now (Rivian’s R2 page).
Is the R2 Launch Package ending?
Rivian hasn’t announced an end date. It calls the $3,700-value package a limited-time offer, and one buyer spotted a new “while it’s here” prompt, but that wording matches Rivian’s existing marketing (Launch Package report).
Is Rivian making an R2T pickup?
Nothing has been announced. Rivian filed a new US trademark application for “R2T” on Oct. 7, 2026, its third, plus one for “R1X.” The R1T is still Rivian’s only pickup (R2T trademark story).
When is the Rivian R3 coming out?
Rivian hasn’t given US pricing or a release date. Its R3 page has no price, and the performance R3X was shown in March 2024 (background).
Where is the R2 built?
